Danish is the official language and English is widely used

Climate:

A mild climate with no extremes,in the summer months of June to August, the average temperature is 19ºC and in the coldest month the average is 1ºC.

As a coastal country Denmark can be wet and windy.

Passport/Visa Note:

Visitors, except members of European Economic Area, must hold tickets and documents for return or onward travel.

Should also have at least US$30 per day to fund their visit, unless a Danish citizen meets them at the airport and officially vouches for them by signing a statement.

The Schengen area includes the following countries: Austria, Belgium, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, The Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain and Sweden.

These countries issue a Schengen visa that has a multiple entry option that allows the holder to travel freely within the borders of all.

Americans:

Must have a passport and no visa is required for a stay of up to three months.

United Kingdom:

Must have a passport and no visa is required for stays of up to three months if the passport is endorsed British Citizen, British National (Overseas), British Overseas Territories Citizen or British Subject.

In all other cases, a visa is required.

Canadians:

Must have a passport and no visa is required for stays of up to three months.

Australians:

Must have a passport and no visa is required for stays of up to three months.

South Africans:

Must hold a passport and require a Schengen visa for entry to Denmark.

New Zealanders:

Must have a passport and no visa is required for stays of up to three months.

Irish:

Must have a passport and no visa is required.
